How can we Help You ?

Our doctors and nurses can help you with a wide range of problems, including contraception, pregnancy tests, drug & alcohol problems, or worries you may have about your health or about things that are happening to you.

What's the Teen-Scene Forum ?

It allows you to ask our Doctor any health related questions you may have. You can also search the forum to see what others have asked along with the answer they got.

The forum is completely confidential. So if you have a burning question click here to give it a go !!!

How do I see a Doctor or Nurse ?

Just come to the surgery by yourself or bring a friend.

Got an Urgent Problem ?

If you have an urgent problem (e.g. you need emergency contraception / morning after pill), we will always try to see you as soon as possible.

Please tell the receptionist that you need to be seen today.

She will probably ask you the reason why, in order for us to arrange an appropriate appointment for you. You can ask to speak to the receptionist privately or tell her that "it is a personal problem" if you find it embarrassing to talk about. The receptionist will always keep your conversation confidential.

What other Information do you have ?

We also have a supply free leaflets in our waiting room.

There is also a contraception clinic for teenagers every Saturday morning at Connexions in Stafford (near Argos) from 10am - 12 noon. Telephone 01785 356656 - You do not need an appointment.

What about Confidentiality ?

Your Doctor, Nurses and Health Centre staff provide a completely confidential service to everyone, including teenagers and the under 16s. This means we will not tell anyone about your visit. The only rare exception is if you are at risk of very serious harm. We will always try to inform you first.

News

New Telephone Appointment System from Wednesday 2nd May 2012:

We are introducing a new telephone appointment system for when a same day appointment is required. When you telephone the surgery a receptionist will confirm your details and give an approximate time as to when a Dr or the Nurse Practitioner will return your call.

Pre-booked appointments with any doctor will be available in the afternoons.


Patient Survey Results 2011/12:

The results and action plan for our 2011/12 Patient Survey are now available.


Patient Contact Details:

It is essential that we have your up to date contact details including home and mobile telephone numbers. Please advise us if you think we may not have the correct information.


New Registrars:

Our current Registrars are Dr Aamir Ehsan & Dr Isabel Evans (started 1st Feb). Both will be with us until the end of July 2012.


Travel Services:

We offer a full range of travel health services.


Online Appointments:

It is now possible for you to make an appointment with your Doctor online.


Patient Participation Group:

The practice has an active Patient Participation Group. If anyone is interested in joining the group please write to David Griffiths, Business Manager.

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can now tell us online !


Need Help Giving Up Smoking ?

If you would like help to quit smoking please book an appointment with either Sue Skelding, Helen Farnworth or Elizabeth Billson.


Extended hours:

We have extended our opening hours.

OR OVER ?

If you are aged over 65 we recommend that you have a vaccination against Pneumonia.
